NRA – Gun Bans Arent Reasonable
March 17, 2010 If you only listened to gun-control advocates, youd think that the Chicago gun case that the Supreme Court is considering is about a simple little ordinance that doesnt affect anyone but bad guys. Ive heard everyone from Mayor Richard Daley to the Brady Campaigns Paul Helmke say that this case is about protecting “reasonable” regulations. But this “reasonable” regulation is a flat-out ban on the possession and legal ownership of handguns, and theres nothing reasonable about banning handguns. You know it, I know it-and the American people know it.

Armed Citizen!!
A man armed with a butcher knife was acting erratically and chasing after people in the parking lot of a Family Dollar store in Memphis, Tenn. As the criminal lunged to cut one driver leavin the lot, the driver retrieved a pistol and shot the attacker, killing him. The armed citizen had two young step-daughters in the car with him during the attack.
Witnesses had nothing but positive things to say of the armed citizen, with one woman noting, “Self-defense… That’s what I would have done, the same thing.” Police have stated that the driver is not likely to be charged. (WHBQ, Memphis, Tenn. 03/05/10 WREG, Memphis, Tenn. 03/05/10)
